This is simply another example of you pretending to know more than you actually know.I'm beginning to suspect you went to school at the same place MaryE got her education.DNA, as you should well know, is not yet a proven reliable determinant of ancestry.Not even genealogy can surplant the vapor created when documentation is no longer available.Then we are all left with the need to depend on historical context to even speculate ... unless, of course, mystery theories are preferred.It requires very little historical research to see clearly how these two racist terms, "redbone" and "melungeon", were used to reference individuals with the same life experiences and shared surnames in different locations along the migration routes traveled by the clans of patrilinial structured families rejected even by the remnants of the disspating tribal groups.
