You can't change the past. You're not going to change how history was written. You're not going to change how your genes are.
You're probably more upset by what you've learned than your ancestors ever were while it was gong on.Just what will you gain by your tactics.A great big nothing.
Do you remember the story of that big oil patch at Beaumont when it was first discovered.....something like Spindle-Top oil patch.Well, I had a client several years ago wanting me to dig up his connection to the person who all the oil rightfully belonged to, and not the family who has the oil right now, etc. These people even had big get-togethers in eastern Tennessee to plot out how they could get their hands on all that black gold. Turns out their old ancestor had already tried it when the courts was trying to sort it all out. That ancestor was a big fraud and there was no truth in his claims....the old man even had children at the same time by several sisters...wasn't Morman...or anything else I could find. They fell for it because it was Grandpa who said so..... A big crook.
I also did research in the past for a 'black' attorney in San Fran, Calif. He was trying to get on the Choctaw Indian Rolls....he wanted his 'rights'.Turns out his old black lady ancestor did have children (before statehood) by her Indian neighbor, but they were not married and the old Indian never claimed her kids (she was not a freed Choctaw slave, either)....the children could not be enrolled. His legal wife and kids did enroll. Last I heard he was going to take it to Federal Court in Muskogee. I dropped out of his employ...there was no way I could change the law....
So hang in there...
