James Melrose , Royal Artillery service records

I am hoping that someone can with access to findmypast can
look for the Royal Chelsea soldiers service documents
W097/1250/65 relating to JAMES MELROSE born Felton, Northumberland.. served in the Royal Artillery discharged age 21, date range 1778 - 1781. source: the Catalogue of the National Archives (England).
James Melrose was my greatgreatgreatgrandfather on my MELROSE family side. He was baptized in the Presbyterian Chapel at Longframlington on 9 June 1760, married Margaret Robson by banns on 15 May 1783 at Felton.. died at Felton on 15 Aug 1833. source: felton parish church records.
thank you all for your help in attempting to find more information about where my MELROSE, MILLROSS family came from.
Was it Scotland or Ireland., I do not know.
