I have recently found out some more info on my Melody branch: Owen Mellody and Mary were the parents. Both were born in Ireland. I don't know Mary's maiden name. Their childern were: Margaret, b. 1862, Anthony, b. 1864, Mary, b. 1866, MICHAEL, born 1867, Bridget, b. 1869, Sabina, b. 1871 and Patrick, b. 1876. All were born in Blackburn, Eng.
Owen was a brick labourer and all of the childern work in the textile mills. They came to the US in 1885 (Pennsylvania). Michael came to Haverhill, MA in 1893(?), where he met and married my g-grandmother Margaret O'Callahan (m. 7/3/1895). My mother said that some of his siblings (Bridget and Sabina and Patrick) all setteled in New Bedford, MA.
