I am trying to find any one that might have any idea how I can find information on my Mellott genealogy, as I have very little information to go on. My father's name is,or, was Louis Ravonne Mellott, b 30 July 1926. Unknown if he is still alive. His fathers name was lawrence (Edwin?) Mellott, born on, or about 15 May 1903. Lawrence married Isla Pearl Cleer on 31 March 1923, and they were divorced sometime after Sept. 1926. I also think that Lawrence's father's name was Lewis, but i am unsure if this was his first or second name. I have also been told that there are Truaxs and possibly Potters in the family. Also, point of information; my mothers name was Elizabeth(Louise)Stillwell, and I have genealogy on that side of my family for 16 generations coming from England, and as I was reading some of the messages I noticed that there might be a conection between my Mellott and Stillwell sides that I was unaware of. I would be happy to share any information I have, and would appreciate any help anyone could give me.
