Darlene,I am having trouble tracking Cynthia's query what with all the Hirams and Williams in both the Mellott and Malott lines. Let's start with Benj F., b 1859. In which stae and county was he born? Who was his wife? Names of their children? Which censuses was Benj found in? I have a Benj F, b 1859, in the 1900 KS Washington Co census. Is this your Benj?
Which censuses do you have William located in? Ditto for Hiram.
I doubt if Hiram is the s/o the Joseph Cynthia listed as b. ca 1750. There is probably another generation in between. The only Joseph I have in that time period is Joseph Malott b. ca 1745 in MD. I do not have any record of a Joseph Mellott b in that time period.
