Starting Sept. 5, 2014, Genealogy.com will be making a big change. GenForum message boards, Family Tree Maker homepages, and the most popular articles will be preserved in a read-only format, while several other features will no longer be available, including member subscriptions and the Shop.

I do not have a St. Helena Mellis. In fact, I do not have much at all about the Mellis tribe. My first Mellis is Robert, came to Canada from Scotland in 1855, married Jane Smith in 1856. Jane Smith was born in Evrie, Orkney Islands. Their offspring were Jemima ( my great grandmother), William, Elizabeth, Mary Jane, Margaret Ann, a son ( must have died very young) and, they adopted a boy and named him Thomas. I have a tad more info on the marriages of the siblings.
