Your James may be a brother of my John (b abt 1766). John died on St Helena in 1820. John and wife Anne (nee SPARKS married in 1789 at St George the Matyr, Queen Square, Holborn, London) had five children Maria, Francis, Georgina, William and George. Have not been able to go back any further but if there is a link would be great to find out.
