"My line is from john Melling who in 1878 married Catherine Naylor- they married in Birkenhead- they had William (1879) Mary (1880), Henry Ernest(1883)
James (1886) Richard 91888) George (1891) Arthur 1894 Robert 1899"

William, James, Richard, George Arthur and Robert are all familiar family names to me, unhelpfully there are more than a few duplicates - my father has an elder brother called Robert - my g/father had brothers called William, James, Arthur and Robert for instance but their father was Joseph. Your George 1891 may be my Grandad ! - but may be too young....
A Richard was listed in 1909 as a greengrocer in Conway Street - and I believe that other brothers were involved in Market Gardening - in Oxton - a suburb of Birkenhead.
