I am descended from Ellen Melling m. Wesley Smith (referenced in the previous posting) through their daughter Lucinda Smith m. Caswell Taylor Cooper. Would be interested in any info about Ellen's ancestors and/or Wesley Smith's family history. I also have seen Melling spelled as "Melon", as in the Melon family in Virginia. I believe the Smiths may also have moved from Virginia to Ohio.

Any info would be appreciated.
