Mary Malia of Co. Mayo Ireland mid 1800s

I am researching Michael GORMAN married to Mary MALIA of Co. Mayo, Ireland. They may have come from the Clew Bay/Newport/Achill area in 1851. They came to the US via New Orleans with their infant daughter Bridget. They first settled in Cinn. OH, then in 1862 they settled in Morroco,Newton Co. Illinois.

Mary's parents were Austin MALIA and Sarah KANE. I have no information about Michael's parents. I know that they had a large family and seemed to prosper and live peacefully. I have the names of their children and would be willing to help anyone with related research. ad-km-steffke@juno.com
