Melendy Family in America
Well folks, it took forever, but I finally got the Melendy name added to Genforum.Hopefully this will help everyone who is trying to find a connection to the Melendy ancestry. My aunt, Georgia Cook George wrote a book about the Melendy Family in America 1701-1981. The family lines go all the way back to the Revolutionary War.I remember that my grandmother, Eva Anderson Sears was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). Some of you out there already have this book as a result of Georgia's printing in 1982 and having copies sent to family members. I have received numerous queries to see if family members are listed in it and have doled out minimal parts out of it.It is out of print and I don't know how to get more.Maybe someone out there knows how to get this done.I can look up names and give an ancestral line or two, but, please realize that this takes a lot of time.If anyone else out there would like to volunteer to look up names out of their books, we would all appreciate it.There used to be a Melendy website, but the last time I tried to go to it, it was gone.My main hope here is to connect all the Melendys together. If you are in the book, you are a Melendy cousin. If you wish to e-mail me, my address is [email protected]
