I have granfather who was bron in Puerto Rico. All I know of him is that his last name is Melendez. He left his home to join the U.S. army then married my grandmother. She had his son Steven Mario Melendez then divorced him. My father was later adopted by his stepfather. B/c of strained relationships I really haven't learned much about my Puerto Rican ancestry, but would very much like too if anyone can help.
