Bob, here is my email address it will be
easier that way I think: eMelder@webtv.net
Did you know there was a Melder reunion in
September every year.Have you ever attended?
This year I and Merril Melder, another cousin
by marriage Thressa Bailey and another
coousin can't remember his name right now are
in charge of the festivities.
Hope you can get to come.I think the other
guy writing, related to the bruces is also in
this line, I tried contacting him at the
email he gave but it didn't go through. Do
you know him.Felix, Noah and their wives are
burried at Pine Ridge cemetary in Melder.
Isabella is buried at st Peters Catholic
church near Oak Hill. I am doing other
research on my side of the family too. Plus I
have a disease called dystonia, too hard to
explain here but I do a lot of computer work
with that, postings and emails ect. It is a
genetic disorder. Mine is limited to facial
spasms but there are lot worse cases than
mine. I have had it for about 5 years and
just got diagnosed 2 years ago. This this
past week I have gotten on a medication that
seem to slow the spasms down. I found a
suport board on the internet and it is a
blessing for me, because so many peopl don't
understand it and think it is a mental
problem. I have a list of a lot of Felix
children, All of Noahs with dates ect. Which
one of Felix children is your grandfather? My father in law Ahtus Melder is the only one left living out of about 11 children. He is now about 85. Some times I get him to talking and he can tell me a lot of things the next time he may not remember. So I write down every thing I can. Did you know the town of Melder was named for Felix. and he at one time owned a store up toward Elmer. He donated the land where the church and cemetary are.Well send me your email and we can compare notes. This sounds really intresting
