FRENCH CROSS Pierre Melanson

I recently wrote a series of articles regarding the group of Acadians that fled the Belleisle region and reached French Cross (now Morden) in 1755. A Pierre Melanson is said to be buried there and to have been the "leader" of that group. The group is said to have kept on to Chignecto (reaching Refugee Cove or Starvation Point) and I am trying to find out what happened to the remaining Acadians from that point on.
Where did they go ? Quebec, New Brunswick ?
Who was in that group ?
There must have been more then one Melanson, as Pierre was married. Some accounts [Placide Gaudet] tell me that this Pierre might have been born in 1727, being 28 in 1755. He might have been a son of Ambroise (son of Charles and Marie Dugas).
Any info appreciated.
Thank you,
Katia
