Hi - I am trying to find out anything I can about my family history, but unfortunately I do not have much information. As of now the farthest back I know is that my grandfather's name was Gabriel Mejia and he was married to my grandmother Felicitas, who's maiden name was Alonso, I think. My grandmother passed away in 2005, and my grandfather passed away in the early 90's. They had a ranch outside of Nochistlan, Zacatecas in Toyagua. I believe a couple of my uncles may still be at that ranch. As far as I know they still own it. I also have family from my father's side still in Nochis. My father's name is Anselmo Mejia, and his siblings are/were Ramon Mejia, Feliz Mejia (d.), Andres Mejia (d.), Olimpio Mejia, Mardonio Mejia, Baudelia, Filomena, Rosario, Maria de Jesus, Renberta (d.), and Louisa Mejia (.d). All the females are/were married (except for Louisa, who was a nun) and I am not sure of their married names, except for Renberta, whose married name was Macias, and I believe she and her family lived at a place called La Jabonera(?). I think my aunts and uncles are all still in Mexico, except for Olimpio, who travels back and forth between the U.S. and Mexico, and my father, who lives in California, as do I. I wish I had more info, but so far this is it. My father may know more, but I have not asked yet. If anyone can tell me anything, please e-mail me.
