Mejia Family Genealogy Forum

My maternal grandmother (DOB 1895) and her family were from Mocorito, Sinaloa. Her parents were Pascacio Mejia and Dorotea Perez, grandparents were Jose Dolores Mejia and Tiburcia Buelna and Hipolito Perez and Mercedes Obeso. I have obtained some information from my local LDS history centers, but other than the marriage info, I've not yet been able to find out any other information on Tiburcia Buelna. According to my grandmother, all these ancestors were born and lived in Mocorito. Dorotea Perez Mejia died abt 1915, (in either Sinaloa or Sonora). Her husband Pascacio, along with most of his children came to the U.S. in 1919. My grandmother and her five children followed her father Pascacio to the U.S. in 1922.
