I, Philip Meisenheimer write this as a memorium how I was separated from my dear wife and children. The ship we boarded when coming to America was wrecked near NewFoundland, August 9, 1840 and I was the only member of my family who escaped death.

I and my dear wife were married August 22, 1829 and lived together in peace for 10 years, 11 months and 13 days.
God blessed this union with 5 children.
1. Katrina Marqurate       born Jan. 7, 1830 & christened Jan. 31, 1830
2. Anna Magdaline       born Feb. 14, 1832 & christened Feb. 19, 1832
3. Caroline        born June 3, 1834 & christened June 8, 1834
4. Wilhelmina        born Feb. 28, 1836 & christened Mar. 4, 1836
5. Peter        born Oct. 28, 1838

I was married the second time to Marqurate nee Raush on Jan. 18, 1845.
Our daughter Marqurate was born Aug. 18, 1847 and died Aug. 28, 1847. Our daughter Christine was born Aug. 14, 1848.
My wife died Aug. 24, 1848 and five weeks after her death my daughter Christine died.

I was married the third time to Elizabeth nee Jost, March 13, 1849
Our first child Philip Wm. Was born June 15, 1850
Our second son John was born Jan. 23, 1852
Our third son William Philip was born June 30, 1854
Our fourth son Jacob was born Oct. 14, 1856
Our fifth son Henry was born April 8, 1859 at 5pm and died Dec. 9, 1859
Our sixth son Christian was born April 30, 1861
Our seventh son Charles Abham was born Oct. 21, 1861

Sailed from Darmstadt, Germany. He and his third wife are buried at Fosterburg, Illinois. His first wife’s maiden name was Weinmann.

This was posted to my Adrian family web site by my Etzel cousin. I am not sure where he received the information, but I'm sure it will help some Meisenheimer descendants.
