Meikle Family involved in Slave Trade

This is hard. My entire family is from Jamaica, West Indies.However, My great, great, great, great grandfather was a slave trader. His last name was Meikle (fr. Scotland) but i don't have a first name. He had 2 children, Ted and Margaret. A slave woman bore 2 children for Ted, who were raised by Margaret. One of those children, Irene, was my great great grandmother and she recently passed away. The entire family lived in Jamaica and Mr. Meikle (Ted and Margaret's father) was apparently very well known. I have heard that since the name is so uncommon, all Meikles are somehow related. Can anyone help? Thanks! Drea
