Hi James,

I am also from the same branch of the Meikles. James Meikle was my gg grandfather ( born Boness 1862 ). My family carries on through his daughter Ann Robinson Meikle, she married William Hogg from Kirkmuirhill ( I think this was where he was born, I do know that they lived there ). They had 3 children, John died as a baby, Bessie married and had 4 children and James, my grandfather had 2 children. His son William was my father and he had 2 girls, myself and my sister Lorraine. I have a fair bit of info myself which was given to me by Bessie's daughter Anna who is a keen geneologist. She has spent quite a bit of time doing this. We also have a lovely picture of Andrew and Helen taken in later life. Not sure when it was taken but they look as if they may be in their 50s or possibly 60s. I am new to this site so if you would like maybe we could compare info. All mine at home and I am at work so will check out when i get home. You may even have come across Anna in your research.

Regards
Carol Hogg
