Do you have any indicat of James Meikle's age when he married in 1822? In my book "Our Own World History" (see I refer to a James Meikle, born 18.5.1785 at East Binny, near Ecclesmachan. This James was a son from a second marriage of William Meikle and thus a half brother to my wife's ggg-grandfather Archibald Meikle. This James can easily have married in 1822 at Corstorphine and then have lived at Cramond.
