Hi there

My fiance, Alastair Milne, is Henry Meiggs' great great grandson, descended via his son, Willie Meiggs. We live in the UK and are travelling to Peru in August this year to explore some his links to Lima. Our trip will include travel on some of the railroads he built, a visit to his grave in Lima Central Cemetary which is marked by a boulder from Mount Meiggs, the site of properties he owned in Chimbote and Callao, and his daughter Caroline's ('Carrie') grave and a stain glass window in her memory (she died aged 11). Alistair's grandmother Helen was born in South America and we are very excited to be retracing his ancestors' steps. If anyone has any photographs/letters etc. pertaining to members of our side of the Meiggs family (Henry, Willie, Russell, Helen Meiggs etc), we would love to hear from you.
