Josiah lived in Sandwich, Massachusetts. He was in the war
of 1812. He and Lydia Fuller had 10 children. He had a son George Washington Meigs that he probably did live with.
Josiah's father was Ralph Meigs (1746-1824) He was in the Revolutionary War and his mother was Temperance Crocker (1750-1825). Ralph's father was Rueben Meigs 1707-? and his wife was Rebecca Jones. Rueben's father was Ebenezer of Falmouth, Mass.(1675-before 1712) his wife was
Mercy (Robinson) Weeks. Ebenezer's father was John Meigs (1641-1713) of East Guilford, Connecticut. John's father was John Meigs (1612-1672) of Killingworth, Conn. John's father was Vincent Meigs (1583-1658) who came to America from England about 1635 with his three sons.
