Jane returned to Oklahoma following the end of the Civil War. Most members of the Ross family fled during the War, but returned when the war ended. I don't know where Jane was during all of the war but do know that in March 1864 she was in Levenworth, KS along with the family of her aunt Elizabeth, wife of William P. Ross. John's family spent some time in Levenworth when they fled. This information is from letters to and from Lewis Ross, brother of John. The letters were between Lewis and his son Henry who was at school at Nazareth Hall in PA. Several Ross children attended school in Bethlehem and in Lawrenceville, NJ.
