Laura, Janelle sent me alot of information, and I didn't save it.I did print it, though, so if you would like I can fax it to you.Basically, the line as given in the LDS line cannot be traced in English church records in Bradford Peverill. And they can't find a son Vincent for Lawrence Meigs. But there is a Vincent Meigs and Emma Strong in Chardstock, Dorsetshire who had children Marie (baptised 16 Apr 1610), John (bapt 29 Jan 1612/13) and Marke (bapt 25 Aug 1616). The ages are right for our Vincent to be the father of this family. No parents have been found for him yet, but Emma Strong's mother was Margaret.
Also, it appears that Vincent's last name is given as Meigs, Meggs, Megges and Love in various records. For example, a land record mentions "Vincent Love alias Megges and his son Mark in a tenement and homeageplace in Axminster and 18 acres alloted to it..."

Their goal is to prove or disprove genealogies that have been printed about early New England settlers.
