My gggrandmother, Tillie Meier, was born in 1880 in Illinois. Her parents, John and Friederieke, moved to Texas sometime after her birth. She also appears to have a couple of sisters, one whose name was Mary and a brother named H.C. I am interested in knowing any information about John and Friedrieke. I am also interested to know if any of the other Meiers share a very strong family resemblance that runs through our Meier clan, specifically very round faces and heavy frame, with a tendency to have very large babies. Tillie is the farthest back that I can confirm this strong trait through pictures, etc. I would be interested to know if this is a Meier trait, or perhaps something that she inherited from Friederieke. Any replies are appreciated either way. Thanks.
