Greetings Mr. William Megginson, and all other Megginsons out there. Bill, we communicated over a year and a half ago concerning my putative ggg-grandmother, Ann Megginson of Chambers AL. As a follow up, I wanted to let you know that I went "home " to Chattanooga this summer and had an opportunity to retrieve the death certificate of my gg-grandmother, Susannah Francis Crosby ALSTON, who died in Chattanooga in 1923. The informant for the certificate was her daughter (my great grandmother). The name given for the deceased's mother was indeed, NANCY MEGGINSON. Nancy (Ann) Megginson was married to James L. Crosby. Now have 100% confidence with this primary document, we have a match for sure!!

Nancy Megginson was daughter of Catherine Mask and Samuel Megginson, Jr. of Chambers, AL. I believe this is the line derived from Col. Megginson who served in the Rev. War. as Minuteman from VA.
