Am looking for info on the Meeks/Meekes family of Kent County, Maryland, USA. Walter Meeks (d. 1688) and wife Sarah had children named James, Sarah, Walter, Francis, Robert and Eliza. Francis Meeks (d. 1749 or 1750),son of Walter and Sarah, md. Mary Smith and had sons named Francis, Robert, James and Theopheleus. Robert Meeks (d. 1771 or 1772),son of Francis and Mary, md. Mary ? and had children Robert, St. Leger and Arianna. Robert (son of Francis and Mary) also had a son William (possibly illegitimate). Ariana Meeks, dau. of Robert Meeks, may have married my 3rd great grandfather, Isaac Cannell. Any information would be appreciated.
