In 1693 the Laird of Hill in Perthshire,a Mikieson,was granted a coat of arms by the Lord Lyon which were almost the same as the arms received by Meik of Ledcarsie,Perthshire thirteen years before,with the motto shortened, proof surely of the descent of these Mikieson's from the Meik's of Ledcarsie.
