A letter from Fred Meek,Houston on William Meek,s death, apparently his body was found 2nd,June 1861 after a search by citizens of Martinez,Calif, he still had his watch, pistol and money and appears to have died of a fit. He was attached to the House of Dupuy,Foulkes & Co, San Francisco, German Wine Importers. Mystery solved, thanks to Fred. From the Daily Evening Bullitin, San Francisco.
