Our surname pronounciation
My family has always pronounced our surname as though the “h” was almost silent, and the “an” sounding more like “en” or “in”.
Does anyone know if this pronounciation of our surname is indicative of a particular area or locallity in Ireland?
If it does, that may help in my efforts to identify the place of my family’s origin.
Thanks for any help with this.
Robby
