Family history for the Medina family has given me the following information:

Juan Lorenzo de Medina, born 1673 in Mexico City and Died 7/4/1731 in New Mexico; wife was Antonia Sedanao., who was born in 1679 in Queretaro, Mexico, died 1726 in New Mexico. Child was Juan Antonio Medina. Antonia’s parents were Pedro Sedanao and Maria Coronel. Juan’s father was Jose de Medina. Juan and Antonia were among reconquest colonists coming into New Mexico in 1693. Both were natives of Nueva Espana (mexico).

Jose Dolores Medina, son of Andres Medina and Maria Antonia Martin, married Maria Sarita Madrid, whose parents were Fermin Madrid and Alberta Rodarte. Jose Dolores’ siblings were Daniel, Facundo, Ramon, and Virginia (Sanchez) Medina.

Jose Dolores and Maria Sarita had 23 children, which included 2 sets of twins. Some survived only until late infancy. Matias Medina was one of the children who survived until adulthood.

What I find difficult is to connect Juan Lorenzo to Andres Medina. Every reference source I consult says his son Juan Antonio Medina only had daughters.

Other sources reference a connection from Andres Martin to a Diego Medina c1672

Doe anyone have any more information on this family? HELP!!!

Noel
