Following is the marriage entry for Jose Desiderio Salas and Manuela Medina..
From the book "New Mexico Marriages-Our Lady Of Guadalupe , Taos.Taos County Marriage Register. Jan 1848-Jan 26,1885." By Luis Gilberto Padilla y Baca. Published by The Hispanic Genealogical Research Center of New Mexico. Extracted from LDS Microfilm Reel # 0017-017.
In this church of Taos on the 16th of February of 1868, I married Jose Desiderio Salas, single, legitimate son of Jose Benito Salas, deceased, and of Albina Gonzales, from Placita de Los Luceros with Manuela Medina, single legitimate daughter of Tiburcio Medina, deceased, and of Juana Maria Archuleta, from the same place. Witnesses: Antonio Deteris & Helena Deteris.
Tiburcio Medina's marriage records do not list his parents but his chidren's baptisms list them as Juan Christobal Medina and Maria Juana Josefa Cordova..
I believe that Juan Christobal Medina and the Juan Christobal Medina listed as a grantee of the Arroyo Hondo Land Grant are the same person...
I don't know if you are also seeking information on the Famila Salas. I have seen them as far back as the middle 1700's.
