Opps! I forgot about Robert, son of William Revell of Newbold-Revell and Sir John's brother. This part of the line remains incomplete.

Now back to the previous message:

AS far is Rogr Revell goes, I have very little except to know that he is there. His relationship to Henry Revell of Swinford is pure conjecture. Just a feeling.

AS far as Robert named in Liber Niger, you could be right. I have the note that Robert controlled Liber Niger but have not been able to prove which Robert this actually is as yet.

The note concerning Robert revell and his wife Cecilia as tenant that accompanied the Thurstanton family listed in the Visitation of Cheshire it too insignificant for me to use at this point. I filed it under unconnected Revell's in hopes that eventuall it would be of help. However, this is not Robert son of Henry and Margaret.

Your speculation concerning Joan being a widow was correct as shown in my previous message.

Agnes Revell proved to be a daughter of Roland Revell brother of Thomas Revell of Higham. She also had a brother, John. Both Joh and Agnes were mentioned in Hugh Revell, son of Thomas revell' last will.

Now I will concentrate of William of Buckby.

At this point I show William, who you refer to as "William the bellmaker" as the son of Robert Revell, brother of Sir John Revell of Newbold-Revell and grandson of William of Newbold-Revell. I refer to this Robert as "Robert of Edmundscote" but he held many other properties, some in Swinford and Buckaby. The relationship between William and the Prior to the Hospipal of St. John of Jerusalem is that Hugh de Revell, Williams' great uncle was the Master of the Preceptory at Chippenham, Cambridge in 1238, and became Grand Master of the Knights of of St. John of Jerusalem in 1259 and died in 1277.

William the bellmaker had a daughter Joan who married Goeffrey de Edmundscote Reynolds as you state. I mention the rest of this line to you several days ago. In addition to Richard Reynolds (revell) Joan had a son John Reynolds and a son Thomas Reynolds.

I agree with your comments concerning Willam, Joan and their offspring. I did not know of the second marriage of Joan, thank you.

Now this completes Robert, son of William Revell of Newbold-Revell line.
