I made a quick search & did not find his parents.

His uncle was Humphrey VIII (d 1322) 4th Earl of Hereford, who married Elizabeth (d 1316) daughter of Edward I, King of England.

His grandfather would have been the 3d Earl of Hereford, Humphrey VII.
