Steven, You sound way to depressed. The fact that you could leave such a message on a Medieval Board is deep. I remember when I posted my first message with my grandparents names and information. I was disappointed that no one connected and responded. I had to get back a few generations before any researcher could see a connection. It may be sometime in my next life before I would ever hope to research before the 1500's. You are one of those special people that we have been blessed to find while researching our various families. Don't be so forlorned (spelling uncertain). When I started this journey looking for family history. I wanted all the names and information I could find. I wanted to fill the branches of all the trees that I was researching. Then after about 5 years, I realized something profound. It wasn't the destination that gave me satisfaction. It was the journey! I have hundreds of people that have been very kind to me in e-mails and messages. I have met many face to face that I would have never knew existed if it weren't for the GenForum. Rightfully so, there is enough misinformation on this world wide web to confuse most of us. But remembering those earlier days and even messages from you, make me realize that if I never add another name or date to any of my research, I am blessed to have known you and so many like you. Don't give up. There is a lot of recent history that still needs much attention. There are a lot of researchers that haven't started yet and are soon to begin their personal journey. It is all perspective. You are a bright light of hope for many. Don't turn it off. Thanks to everyone on the GenForum, You are a great help for so many.
