I guess it depends on what you expect from a site like this. Obviously it doesn't replace basic research, but it's a good place to share what you have found elsewhere, whether in libraries, archives or other web sites. Yes, there are people who think "research" means copy and paste from other people's sites, but I've also met many people who are doing real work from contemporary sources - and posting it here.
