Just a note to say hello. I have Medendorp ancestry from the Netherlands, John born 1834.
So far I have only been in touch with a bunch of Michigan Medendorp's who are likely related but the dates are not right and my John Medendorp lived in Lafayette, Indiana after coming to the U.S. in 1857. His wife was Anna Vanderschaaf, also born in the Netherlands.
I have a Vanderschaaf query in, but it is the only one so far. thought I would give your query some company.
