My great, great grandfather, James Wesley Grimes, married Mary Ann Meares in Bladen County. NC. They had eight children and she died in 1853. He owned quite a bit of land on the Cape Fear River and had seven slaves. I have a lot of info on him and on their children. If interested I will share what I have with you.
