I have also traced the meares from Ireland and England. There was a Meares(Meare) Courtin Westmeath Co., Longford, Ireland going back fom 1400-1600. I have been in touch and they a book written by Rev. Robert Meares that would love to explore...Thomas Meares(Merres) came from London 1620 on the Bonadventure Ship. I will download anthing that I have if you want.
