On 2nd June 1867 there was a Baptism for Patrick Meany Parents are shown as William Collins and MARGARET Meany.
Sponsors are Martin Hanrahan and Bridget Meany of oatfield. Maybe the Margaret is not correct?
There are lots more Meany families in that register. You will need a lot of time to go through it because it is so hard to read the writing and a lot of it is obliterated.
There is also a marriage between Michael Meany of Clonloum and Ellen Pendergast from ? 4 February 1855 Witnesses are Daniel Callaghan and Jane McNamara. There were 6 children of theirs Baptised between 1857 and 1867.

My connection to MEANY is Hanora Meany married William Dillon.
They had 2 children Baptised at O'Callaghans Mills
Mary Dillon 29 May 1839 Sponsors Matthew Hehir and Bridget McMahon Res.Coolistoonan
Biddy Dillon 23 April 1842 Sponsor Catherine Carberry Res.Coolistoonan
There was a male child William Dillon born c1835 but I cannot find a record of his birth. He is my great grandfather. He married Bridget Clune/s at O'Callaghans Mills c1857 (no record available). They had 2 children Patrick and Margaret and emigrated to Australia in 1862 on the "Theresa" in to Moreton Bay.
As you go through the register you will be amazed at the connections between the families of Meany,Liddy,Clune,Donnellan.
