I know some Mealers made their way up to that part of the country but I am not sure if John ever did.
I have some information that may help you. A lady named Joi Mealer Ramey sent me the following:
John B. Mealer married a Bettie Speed and they had six children, Arthur Rush Mealer being the first born, He married a Laura Mae Collins.They had five children, Hubert, Barbara, James, Earnest, and Donald.The last I heard was that Barbara Mealer was alive and living in Fla. Barb, if you would be so kind, please let me know what your husbands mother's name is and any other Mealer information he may have?
