I'm looking for the father Meadowcroft of atleast 3 children. Two are William (27yrs; born 1833) and Jessie Riley (name not completely readable; 24yrs; born 1836). The third is Edward. The 1860, 1870 and 1880 census for Fall River, Mass. show he could have been born in 1835, 1836 or 1839. I'm absolutly convinced it is the same Edward on each sensus. It would appear in the 1860 census that very possibly William (married to a Jessie; name not completley readable), the Jessie Riley and Edward were siblings that were all born in the UK and migrated together. It would makes sence that if a census taker came upon a house with more then one person with the same name to have to add a 'middle name' to make a distintion. This may be the case with Jessie and Jessie Riley eventhough Jessie was female and Jessie Riley was male. It would also strongly appear, according to a 1920 passport application that a Lucy (born 1861) and Abbie Meadowcroft were daughters of William (brother of Edward). Edward is the line from which come. He is my ggg-grandfather. I'm looking for his father. If anyone can help that would be awesome. Thanks. Notify Administrator about this message?
