Classification: Query
Surnames: Enslow, Bongard, Watkins, Woodworth, Krewson, etc.....

Joseph Bongard was born in Germany in 1842....immigrated to US sometime before 1865 when he married Lida Meadows in Adams County, Illinois. Joseph and Lida had one son James in 1871.

It is believed that she may have died in childbirth. Joseph remarried a second time to Alvina (I have seen it as Lavina in records) Meiser. Alvina was born1 in 1852.

I do not have the date of Alvina and Joseph's marraige. They had 4 children...Joseph born 1873, Alice born 1875, Katie born 1877, and my ggrandmother Bessie born 1881. Does this sound anywhere near familiar to anyone researching the Bongard family????

I would appreciate any further info that anyone can help me with! My email
