There is confusion on this subject. Mollie East (married Calvin Alexander Meador) and her sister Amanda J. East (married Joel Buchanon Meador). Sisters married brothers.
Their parents were Matt East and Jemima/Emmaline (Bennett-maiden name) East. After Matt East died, Jemima/Emmaline (Bennett) East married Abner Bennett, and they had two more children....Emma and Edward Bennett. So I'm sure that Mollie BENNETT should be Mollie EAST. According to New Prospect Cemetery records and Art, Mollie Steel must have been Calvin Alexander's first wife. Hope that this helps!Ginny
