Mr. & Mrs. Meade: It is so good to hear from you. My father who passed away a couple years ago grew up on Mud Creek also. His oldest brother was named Hilbert Meade. I know that is not your Hibbert, but just an interesting fact. I have so much on the Meades that I am sure I can find Hibbert somewhere. I probably have 15 boxes of loose data that I have not input into my data base. If you will just have a little patience with me, I will be happy to send you some info. Other people who are very well educated in the Meade family history is Mena Meade from up north (she has spent many, many years researching) and John Meade in Salem, Indiana.

I grew up in Floyd County between Price and Wheelwright in an area called Meade Hill. Naturally, everyone that lived there was a Meade. My father's grandparents lived in Letcher County and some in Floyd County. There have always since the early 1800's been Meades in Johnson County.

I'll get back with you soon.
