Looking for information on the Miss Meade or De Meade who married my Great Grandfather William Hobbs in or around Portsmouth, Hampshire, UK. I know that all families of Meade in the Portsmouth area are related and are believed to have a Spanish connection through a shipwrecked sailor after the Spanish Armada. We all have slightly dark spanish appearance
as a result.
Attempts to find out the connection have been stone walled by the Meade side of the family.
Any help in this area would be appreciated.
