Good Evening Vance:

Ill tell you now this Thomas family is very hard to piece together in regards to the census of 1861 and 1881..
1> all the children of John and Margaret(Watt)Thomas were born in PEI,Ca. I have a date of 1843. born in Charlottetown,PEI.Ca. I have a copy from the PEI Archives on the Thomas children.

I guess we will have to guess as to why she was living alone if that is our Margaret in Saltash. Now as far as I know Im not positve but I think that William may have worked for his brother in law John TN Thomas jr..but Im only guessing. The reason being, with this family they are all interconnected with the family businesses.

You see my ggggrandfather James R. Watt went to PEI with John and Margaret where he had his business and my James was a Grocer in Charlottetown, then Bedeques,PEI..My side married into the Moore family of PEI, who are well known in PEI today as well as years gone by..So as you can see the family seems to have ties to every type of business associated with shipping and goods..

Onto Pennington Watt Mead was born in E.Stonehouse in Jul 1873 according to Deaths 1873 age 0 district E.Stonehouse Vol 5b page 207..It looks like he passed away at birth..

I guess we will have to check out the marriage certificate for Margaret..

Thanks

Richard
