As a follow-up to my last post.
If William B. Mead's father was Thomas, this would narrow it down a lot. I searched the IGI for William son of Thomas born in England 1780-90 and there are just a handful. Most can be ruled out because the father still lived there after 1790. But there was a William Mead born 1784 at St Sepulchre’s London, the son of Thomas Mead and Jane.
There was a marriage of Thomas Mead and Jane Burrows in 1783. The entry is confused, saying St Sepulchre's London / Northampton, but the names and dates would fit for the parents of William above.
Do you know the middle name of Francis B. and William B. Mead? The mother's maiden name - Burrows - is a possibility.
