Although Mary is probably the strongest possiblity of being Francis and Mary Mead's daughter I would still hesitate until you get further proof. There are at least 50 (I stopped counting) Marys (wifes) that were born about 1851 in Georgia on the 1870 Texas and Arkansas census records apiece.
I am decended from Francis' son Joseph William Mead born 30 Dec 1945 in Georgia. He died in Sulpher Springs, Hopkins Co., Texas on 30 Jul, 1919. He is buried in the Sulpher Springs Cemetery. He married Martha J. "Mattie" Walling abt 1866 in Texas. She was born abt 1848 in Tennessee and died before 1886 in Texas. JW then married Zeiley McGlathery on 15 sep 1886. She died in 1908. He then finally married Ellen M Mitchell 5 Aug 1908.
John D. Mead and his wife Alice Pierce both died in 1934 in Delta, Texas. He was born Mar 1855 in Alabama. She was born Feb 1866 in Mississsippi.

Rev. F.B. Mead died last Monday night at his home two miles south of town. Mr. Mead was
a faithful christian gentlemen beloved by all who knew him and although he was far
advanced in years his death is a sudden and sad blow to the community.
He is buried in the Square Rock Cemetery.
Mary's possible sister Sarah Sarah E Mead was born :20 jul 1841 in Georgia and died: 9 jun 1912 in
Black Fork, Scott Co., Arkansas.
She Married Albert Smith :16 Jun 1867 in Hopkins Co., Texas
He was born 8 Jul 1825 Arkansas and died 19 Oct 1906 Black Fork , Scott Co., Arkansas
William Mead's wife Mary was born 5 jul 1800 Laurens District, SC and died 28 apr 1874 in
Bartow Co., Georgia. She married Boler Moon 20 Nov 1834 in
Jackson Co., Georgia after William's death.
I would love to prove the connection between Mary Lavina and Francis B. Mead.,
